Saluting National Flag on victory day, October 10th , 1954

Celebrating the 67th anniversary of the liberation of the capital
(October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2021)
 

At 15:00 of October 10, 1954, from the rooftop of the City Theatre resounded with a long whistle, then hundreds of Hanoi residents stood upright looking towards the Saluting the Colors to celebrate the victory held by the Politico-Military Administrative Committee. Major General, Chairman of the Politico-Military Administrative Committee. Mr. Vương Thừa Vũ personally conducted the Saluting the Colors attended by the armed units. The national flag flew on Hanoi Flagpole that surrounded by a sea of people holding flowers and flags, that scene has become the symbol of the independence, freedom and happiness of Vietnam.
