During the resistance war against the US, he and the leaders
of the Ministry of Public Security effectively organized and
directed the reinforcement of security forces for the South,
contributing to building a constantly growing Southern
security force and gloriously fulfilling the tasks assigned by
the Party and the people.
He took part in revolutionary activities at a young age and was admitted to the Indochinese Communist Party when he was 18. He was once arrested and imprisoned by the French colonialists at a very young age, thanks to which he showed his steadfastness and unyieldingness as a great revolutionary.

SHOWDuring the 9-year resistance war against the French colonialists, Comrade Trần Quốc Hoàn personally observed and directed the 60-day battle in Hanoi and Inter-zone I. Later he also held different positions, but whatever positions he held, he also successfully completed the assigned tasks.

As an excellent disciple of Uncle Hồ, he was trusted by the Party and Uncle Hồ and assigned to be Minister of Public Security in August 1953. He led and encouraged people and policemen all over the country on their revolutionary road, contributing to the building and defending of socialism in the North, fighting for the liberation of the South and reunification of the nation.
