The moment at 11:30 a.m on April 30th, 1975 was a significant milestone in the nation’s history when the Hồ Chí Minh campaign ended in a complete victory. The 21-year long resistance war was successful, and the national flag flew on the rooftop of the Independence palace. The whole country seemed to be silent in that sacred atmosphere and then burst into joy at the victory. The war had came to an end, and the country was united and independent. Before that, in the Headquarters (House D67), where officers of the Politburo and the Central Military Commission were anxiously monitoring the progress of the campaign. They both directed the campaign and waited anxiously. Finally, when they got the news of victory from Sài Gòn, all felt joyful, proud and moved. In that moment, everyone remembered Uncle Hồ (President Hồ Chí Minh) since his dream of independence had come true then.
